Modifying Files on an Approved Document

Users with the Elevated Permissions - Documents permission are able to modify files on approved documents by using the following procedure.
Important: Your active scope must match the scope the approved document is in.
  1. Open a document copy in the Content pane.
  2. Expand the Files topic
  3. Modify the applicable additional attribute data:
    SettingDescription
    Hide By setting this check box, you can hide certain files from being presented in the view interfaces.
    Seq. (Sequence) Adding a number sequence in this field allows control of the Order of presentation.
    Page No (Page Number) To assist users finding the correct file to view; this field allows page numbers to be presented as part of the detail. For example, Cover Page, Page 1, Page 2, etc.
    Page Size Reflects something about the file itself. For example, you could say Letter or A4.
    Description Like the Page Number field above, this field allows a description to be given to files instead of relying on the file names.
    File Name This is populated with the original file name.
    Application Name This is populated with the application associated with the file type added. This is defined in System Admin tab. See Maintaining List Values .

    To associate a different application for this file, select another application from the list.

  4. Click the Save icon in the action bar.
  5. Click Yes on the Modify File warning to complete the changes.
